Cora's Big News

It took me forever to remember how to post! :) We have set a date for Cora's baptism to be on Thursday, November 13. She's really excited about it... I wish we could come home for it so you could all be there, but she's been a bit bothered about not having been baptised yet, and so we don't want her to have to wait any longer than is needful.

We love and miss you all! Hoping to be able to come home... soon-ish :)

Austin Made the School Basketball team!

Austin is so excited! He tried out for Basketball at Foothill Middle School, and made the JV team. He came home from school beaming! Mom is very excited for him, but just realized that we have a sports overlap. Austin starts practice Monday, practicing M-Th 2:45-4:30. He is still in soccer for the next 4 weeks, and practices MW from 4:30-6:15. Games start soon, with two games per week, and two practices per week. Games include schools in the out-skirts of Fresno (Chowchilla, Kerman, Washington Union, Kingsburg, Firebaugh, Mendota). Mom just realized things are about to get a lot more busy!

Please Bring a Chair to Drew's B-Day Party

Hello Everyone!

Wow, I can't believe the party is in 5 days. We are looking forward to seeing you all this weekend. Unfortunately, we were only able to reserve 1 large picnic table (in the middle of Sunset View covered picnic area)... so, we are asking everyone to please BYOC: bring your own chair ;) Some of you have asked me if there's anything you can bring to help us out. I guess if you own one of those easy-up tent shades, you could bring it with you as well. Thanks and C U Soon!

Colby's Eagle

Colby finished his Eagle Project and is now just waiting for his board of review. He fixed and painted benches that were 20 years old at Camp Sierra. Yeh!

more family pics

I actually figured out how to upload the pictures all by myself:)! We had these taken near the church in April. It is amazing how quickly kids grow - they've changed some between now and then, but this is still pretty current!

soccer pictures

Austin - top left
Blake - top right
Dillon - left (Parker Luke - Jodie (Page) Luke's second son, ready for some action as well!)

Greetings from the McCauleys

Hello Everyone! This is a very cool thing, but I am still trying to figure out how it works! We have tons of pictures we can submit, but I may need to wait for Phil to help in that department! We are all well, happy, and busy. We are not quite half way into the soccer season, and have two games per Saturday. (Thank goodness Blake and Dillon are on the same team - the Red Hot Chili Peppers) Austin is playing for the "Red Dirt Balls." Colby will be trying out for the High School team this month, with games beginning next month. He just completed his Eagle Project for Scouts, and is preparing to submit it for the Board of Review. 1 down, 3 to go! We hope everyone is happy and enjoying life.

Love,
Lynnette and family

A Few Pics of Drew

10/18/2008 is Drew's 1st Birthday Party!

Hello Everybody :)

As I was filling out invitation envelopes to Drew's 1st birthday party, I realized I don't have current addresses for some of you. I need: Grandpa Loren's, Alica & Eli's and Derrick & Brittney's. We will have the party on Saturday, October 18th @ 2pm at Woodward Park - Sunset View picnic area (make a left as you enter the park and we will be at the 1st covered picnic area). Please RSVP to Mona (559) 907-4365. We are having a BBQ and yummy birthday cake too!
Also, it looks like we will be moving back to Fresno in mid-late December this year (just 2-1/2 months away). We really want to be closer to Dad and our friend has an uncle who is a captain with Cal Fire in Fresno and he said he'd help David get hired as a firefighter by April or May. For those of you who don't already know, David is pursuing becoming a firefighter :) I attempted to upload a few more recent pictures of Drew...I hope it worked. I think you have to click on my name on the side of the page in order to see them. Boy this website is really fun. Thanks Lance!

Picture of mom

Well Hi Dad,
I figure this picture will look much more familiar! I sent this out to to everyone a few weeks back via email. Let's see, news from my household. I just started up a PT job with UPS, need some solid benifits. That kicks me out of bed at 2:30 am! Scott is beginning his next level of communication. (This is huge for a little guy with autism) He is taking who he needs help from by the hand and leading them to what he wants. He is finally learning how to ask for juice when it is not in sight. We are excited.
Katie's been writing cursive for a while, and it is becoming much more refined. She is one of the fastest runners in her class. She and two boys are sprinting it out and one of the three alternate winning. (remember Bridge to Terabithia?) She is also excelling in art.
Oh, LeDawn and I finally got to go out on a date this last Saturday. (That may be the second one this year) Included was Prince Caspian. I was surprised to find an extra battle that wasn't in the book. By the way, do any of you recognize the link between Bridge to Terabithia and 1)Prince Caspian and 2)Voyage of the Dawn Treader? (Huge hint, check out the Terebinth Tree)
Things continue to pull together and we establish our roots here in AZ. Let's keep up the communications, and who knows, maybe Dad will have something transcribed!

Our family picture comes in two for now!! Unfortunatly the one of us is the most recent one I could find from our Oakland Temple trip in March. The ultrasound was just last week when we found out 'it' is a boy!!! My new due date is January 31 which means we are just over half way there!! Very scary but so exciting. I wish we had something else in our lives to update everyone on but it looks like all you'll be hearing about for a while is baby baby baby news!

Hello from the Webster's

Alright, so here's our Fam. pic. for everyone who was unable to open it on their e-mail. I know, aren't we all so adorable! On Sunday I showed Dad this blog and he didn't recognize Grandma!! He said it was before his time :) Excuses, excuses! I'm excited to have everyone enter info! We are all doing well. Kaitlynn is enjoying Middle school even though she is mainly being challenged in her coloring skills. Ashley and Alyssa are enjoying 2nd grade and are eager to stay up at night reading chapter books, although Ashley wishes there were more pictures! Trenton loves Pre-K and learning a little Spanish. And Neal, he unfortunatly is very into electical outlets and has managed to shock himself a couple times while taking out night lights, we may actually have to get those special outlets that are completly covered!! Love to all!

Hello Everybody!

This is so cool. I love that we can keep eachother updated on the latest in our corners of the world. I will post new pics soon. Also, for those of you in Fresno, save the date: Sat-10/18/08. We will have Drew's 1st b-day party around 2pm most likely at Woodward Park. More details coming soon. Hugs & kisses to all! -m

Sunday, September 14, 2008

Well, this is a nice tool for helping keep everyone involved and up to date with each other's lives!

News worthy info from me... I was released as Ethan's Sunbeams teacher and got to go to Relief Society for the first time in about a year.... and then was extended the calling of Relief Society Secretary. Oh my! I'm a bit scared but trying to remember that Heavenly Father will be on my side and will help me grow and develop so I can meet the responsibilities given me.

Aunt Lorelyn Sent this:

The Man Rules
At last a guy has taken the time to write this all down

Finally , the guys' side of the story.
(
I must admit, it's pretty good.)
We always hear
' the rules '
From the female side.

Now here are the rules from the male side.

These are our rules!
Please note.. these are all numbered '1 '
ON PURPOSE!

1. Men are NOT mind readers.

1. Learn to work the toilet seat.
You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down.
We need it up, you need it down.
You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down.

1. Sunday sports It's like the full moon
or the changing of the tides.
Let it be.

1. Crying is blackmail.

1
. Ask for what you want.
Let us be clear on this one:
Subtle hints do not work!
Strong hints do not work!
Obvious hints do not work!
Just say it!

1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.

1. Come to us with a problem
only if you want help solving it. That's what we do.
Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.

1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument.
In fact, all comments become Null and void after 7 Days.

1. If you think you're fat, you probably are.
Don't ask us.

1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the
other one

1. You can either ask us to do something
Or tell us how you want it done.
Not both.
If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.

1. Whenever possible, Please say whatever you have to say during commercials..

1. Christopher Columbus did
NOT need directions and neither do we.

1. ALL men see in only 16 Colors, like Windows default settings.
Peach, for example, is a fruit, not
A Color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have no idea what mauve is.

1. If it itches, it
will be scratched.
We do that.

1. If we ask what is wrong and you say 'nothing,' We will act like nothing's wrong.
We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.

1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, Expect an answer you don't want to hear.

1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine...
Really .

1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as baseball or golf.

1. You have enough clothes.

1. You have too many shoes.

1. I am in shape.
Round IS a shape!

1. Thank you for reading this.
Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the couch tonight;

But did you know men really don't mind that? It's like camping.

Pass this to as many men as you can -
to give them a laugh.

Pass this to as many women as you can -
to give them a bigger laugh

Scott to see the dentist today

We took Scott into the hospital today so they could put him under once again. He had 4 Cavities and they also pulled blood to test for some more allergies.

Hey All,

We are looking for ways to increase our communications with Dad and with each other. Pictures are a wonderful idea. I am not sure how much space we have for storage so we might need to rotate pictures every 6 months or so. This first one is a picture of Cora Helen Foster as she graduated from College. This is the late 1920's early 30's
